Children’s Ministry

Here at Creekside Christian our Children’s Ministry believes that Jesus considered children a BIG part of His plan.  So in obedience, to Christ, children are a BIG part of our plan here at Creekside Christian Church.  From newborn babies to 5th graders we believe in having a creative and personable approach to ministering to each child that walks through our doors.  Infants and Toddlers are cared for by well-trained volunteers that understand the needs of our little ones.  These volunteers whisper gently God’s word while a child is busy playing and stories are being read, this way small children come away with a happy heart.  For preschoolers to elementary our age appropriate lessons are developed for “high-energy” and “hands-on” approach.  This way a child can experience each story or moral value in a more meaningful way.

We want every child to have God’s Word written on their heart.

When Christ said, “ Let the children come to me,” we believe that he was communicating to all of us that our children are precious and we can learn a lot from them.  We would love for your child to be precious to us and please feel free to contact us for any more questions that you may have.  God Bless!

Church-Parent-Child Relationship
Another part of Creekside’s children’s ministry is the emphasis of fusing the church-parent-child relationship.  We believe that for any child to grow deep in their faith it isn’t totally dependent upon the church.  We believe it begins with conversations in the car or around the dinner table with Dad and Mom.  So for the parents each week our programs have a “take home page” for every family.  These pages help you as the parent reinforce the Biblical point and Bible verse everyday of the week.  It also has discussion questions to create a dialogue between you and your child.

How can you get involved?
The program here at Creekside wouldn’t be what it is without the prayers and support of our volunteers.  We are a “parent-participatory” program which asks every regularly attending parent to help out in one of the many facets of our children’s ministry.  Creekside understands that in today’s world life is busy throughout the weeks so we are sensitive to the degree of involvement and preparation when volunteering in our program.  This way when parents are depositing “time” into our children’s program, children and other families are all benefiting.

Safety Issues
Creekside cares about the safety of each and every child.  That is why we have a safe and secure check in process on Sundays and Wednesdays.  Right now, as a visitor, when you check in your child at the Children’s Check in table in the foyer, you will receive a “parent security card” with a security number and your child will have a “visitor name tag” with a security number.  These security numbers help us to communicate with you if need be.  When you do decide to regularly attend Creekside ask a volunteer at the Children’s check in table and they’ll help you to get a more permanent card for you and your child.  Another way we ensure the safety of your child is making sure that each of our volunteers are trained and every volunteer has a nation wide background check.  We want you to feel at ease and know that your child is top priority to us.
